STEM WORKSHOPS hosted in Ireland to encourage and inspire students

This week , Bank of America Merrill Lynch and its Employee Network, Women in Technology & Operations (WIT&O) hosted a science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) workshop with students from Carysfort National School.  According to a recent report from the Government’s STEM Education Review Group, STEM education will play a key role in driving our economic ambitions, supporting innovation and providing the foundations for future prosperity, but currently there is a significant shortfall of students studying in this area.  As part of the bank’s ongoing programme in Ireland to stimulate, encourage and inspire students to study these subjects, WIT&O is hosting a number of STEM initiatives for students,  including primary school workshops and the recent ‘Hack Your Career Event’ for university students, which was run in partnership with Code First: Girls.
