Discover the history of the cathedral, which was originally a Viking church and is almost 1,000 years old. See Strongbow’s tomb, Laurence O’Toole’s heart and their famous mummified cat and rat. Or take a trip up to the belfry where you can try your hand at ringing the famous bells (for adults and children aged 12 and over).
Visit the crypt, which is Dublin’s oldest structure and now home to a new family dress up area. Families are welcome to try on costumes inspired by the history of the cathedral, in both child and adult sizes. Become a medieval knight or lady and relive the story of Strongbow and Aoife, or dress up in Tudor hats and ruffs.
