Speaking about Gala Gifts for Schools, CEO of Gala Retail, Gary Desmond said: “This is a milestone year for Gala and we recognise that we wouldn’t be where we are today without the ongoing support of our stores’ communities throughout Ireland.

“Our 20th year is the ideal time for Gala to give back to its communities and we’re hoping that as many schools as possible will enter the competition. We’re looking for creative videos, featuring projects that will help to improve schools and the rounded educational experience that our children enjoy.”

Gala has partnered with Primary Times magazine to promote the initiative within schools. Marie O’Reilly, Editor of Primary Times commented:

“For Primary Schools, Gala Gifts for Schools is simple to enter, and I would encourage Principals and Teachers to drive this initiative forward within their school to be in with a chance of winning. There’s over 3,000 primary schools in Ireland, and for the winning schools, the Gala cash gifts could really make a difference to pupils’ learning and educational experiences.”
